10 May 2009: So you've had a little trouble in town, Now you're keeping some demons down ...
STOP DRAGON MY HEART AROUNDWe first entered Crystallos on April 1st. Four runs later, after an extremely smooth run through the elemental wings of the lair (marred only by a bugged Air event that cost us a couple of hours of wasted time) we settled down in front of the mightiest dragon in Norrath and prepared to face off. We'd had a good learning run on this fight on our first evening attempting it, and it had been very hard to have to leave last week, after a try that had taken her down below 10%. So we were here. We were willing. And we were going to win.  NEW TO THIS WEBSITE: OUR "SPOT THE DRAGON" COMPETITION After a little warm-up exercise (and would we be Nordlys Crusaders without a wipe on our first try of the night against a major new target?) we got in there again. The AEs kept firing. The Other Crusaders arrived and were as useless as ever. But Kerafyrm's hitpoints kept going down.  SOMEONE SING THIS DAMNED DRAGON A LULLABY!!! And then - in a slightly anti-climactic way - it was all over. Kerafyrm slumped back into slumber, the Other Crusaders woke up and began bragging foolishly about how it was all due to their sterling falling-over skills, and we ... we were Dragonkin.  HOPE SOMEONE BROUGHT ENOUGH NIBBLES FOR THE GATECRASHERS AT OUR PICNIC... And so ends another chapter in our astounding success. The end of the Secrets of Faydwer expansion - the only content we haven't beaten is in Seeds of Destruction. All achieved while keeping it just a game and social fun - I think being less than a year behind the hardcore on a 3 nights a week schedule is pretty cool, don't you?
