Did someone say Potato Blight?

So, it's been a bit quiet at NC towers recently, we've spent a lot of time farming - farming equipment and Tower keys..

Well, what else do you do in EQ when needing keys?

We've been to see these brothers a couple of times recently too, and frankly they are not particularly co-operative and anyway, we felt they needed a break!

Does he seem taller to you?

So, off we trotted (see first picture) back into our Pallorax meeting spot. We wondered what would happen if we clicked on this big door with our collection of keys..

Erm, I don't like the look of this

We weren't nervous about this at all, no hiding on the stairs, oh no, not us!

NC prides itself on preparation, strategies and teamwork. It's that teamwork that allows us to venture into new raids with little frustration and very rarely do we wipe.

And again, Dane proved his worth in this regard:

Anyway, we found that the Brain on legs was good at tidying up..

All nice and tidy, how neat!

And we got ready for another charge…..

CHARGE!!!!!!!!!!

Erm, so anyway, Linc stayed alive long enough to make an observation:

Moving along, we made some changes to our strategy, you know the kind of thing: "Stay alive", "don't die", "heal the wizards", that kind of thing.

The revised strategy worked much better:

Time was ticking, like time does and we began to believe that we were missing something, something obvious, something that would get us through it.. so we re-engaged in true NC fashion, with determination, grit and a bit of "can do" in our pockets..

We fought and battled and got him closer and closer to the magic number, at one point Tanith actually stood up and engaged:

Longer and longer we fought, wizards taking screenshots, randomly nuking and generally getting in the way, we were getting so close:

And then… it happened...

He's ported again hasn't he?

Nope, he's dead and he left his chest..

Congratulations Nordlys Crusaders on defeating The Mindblight on our first attempt!! Cough.
